Dental Health Month

If there isn't enough going on in February already, it is also dental health month. Dr. Noack offered to visit our classroom on Wednesday afternoon to teach us about keeping our teeth clean and healthy. He had some great demonstrations and sent each child home with a goody bag of floss, a toothbrush, stickers, and more. Thanks Dr. Noack, we enjoyed your visit!

Happy Valentine's Day!

On Valentine's Day the kindergarteners joined us in our classroom to watch a Peanuts and Snoopy Valentine movie. Then the 1st graders spent some time handing out their special cards and treats.

100th Day of School

Can you believe it? On Friday we celebrated the 100th day of school! Everyone brought 100 pieces of a dry snack food and we made a snack called "derdnuh" which is hundred spelled backward. The kids thought it was pretty delicious and we discovered that by adding everything together, there were 1500 pieces of food! We also spent the afternoon bowling at Jesse James Lanes! I was very impressed with the 1st graders bowling skills - they rocked!

SMARTBOARD!

We've had some great people helping out with the installation of our smartboard and as of Thursday, everything is in place and working for the most part! I'm excited, the kids are excited and we're ready to do some interactive learning!

Hello again!

I'm looking forward to my return to the 1st grade classroom. It's going to be a busy spring with many fun things planned for our days together: 100th day of school, Valentine's Day, Catholic Schools Week, Field Trips, etc.!

Ms. Brenden and I were able to meet during workshop day last Monday to discuss what the class has accomplished and how things are going, so that it is an easy transition for everyone!

I'm back on email full-time, so please feel free to contact me when need be.

See you soon!

Our Visit!

This afternoon Brekken and I made a trip down to Northfield to visit the class. I told Brekken this morning that we were going to meet all of my 1st grade friends; he was very excited. :) It was so nice to see all of them. I miss seeing their smiling faces everyday. We also had a chance to visit the other classrooms too.

It's a BOY!

Brekken James Warrick weighed in at 5lbs 15 oz and 19.5inches long on Sunday, November 6 at 1:20 p.m. We're doing well adjusting to our new life and routines at home! Looking forward to bringing him in to the classroom and meeting my 1st grade friends!
