6th Grade Buddies!
We met with our 6th grade buddies for the first time this past Monday afternoon! They brought books to read to us, and some of us even had a chance to read to them. The kids were so excited. We think we'll meet with a new buddy each time we hang out which is about every two weeks! We plan to go trick or treating in their classroom on Halloween!

Fire Safety
On Tuesday morning, three local firefighters visited St. Dominic School to talk about fire safety. We learned about make a safe plan, not to be scared when they are dressed in their gear and trying to help, and we even had a chance to peek at a real fire truck!
A VIDEO TOO!
CONGRATULATIONS AND THANK YOU!
Charlie and Michael were two of the lucky recipients in grades K-3 to receive $25 and $50 tokens to donate to the school as they wish. Charlie is donating his to our 1st grade classroom, and Michael's will go to music and art! THANK YOU and CONGRATULATIONS Michael and Charlie!

Ask your 1st Grader...
- What it means to "Take a Break" in our room.
- What they should do when asked to "Show 5."
- About even and odd numbers.
- To show you a 5 group and extra ones.
- What city, state, country, and content we live on.
MARATHON!
Friday was our school Marathon! We had so much fun walking around the track at the middle school. Some of the children however, were disappointed they didn't finish the 8 laps - before we left, we had talked about that being our goal which is amazingly hard to do in just 30 minutes! :) They enjoyed the morning anyway! Thanks for all of your help in collecting pledges. Congrats to Michael Fossum for bringing in the most money in grades PreK-3rd grade, and Charlie Monaghan for winning the drawing for grades PreK-3rd grade! The most recent amount collected for the entire school is over $15,000!!
